Notes from the foundry
A first dispatch on what this lab is, why it exists, and what to expect from the journal.
This is the first entry. The lab notebook is where I’ll write longer-form notes that don’t belong on the home page — observations from running small systems for long periods of time, fragments of architecture, the occasional teardown.
Why a journal
Twenty-five years in, the most useful artefacts I produce are not the systems themselves but the notes I leave for the next version of me. This is a controlled leak of those notes.
What to expect
- Working notes on AI infrastructure and orchestration
- Retrospectives from rapid MVP work
- Long-arc thinking about small, durable systems
The slowest you’ll ever ship is faster than the fastest someone else will ship for you.
More soon.
